Egg-cellent Prize Pack GIVEAWAY from NestFresh Eggs

I have a fabulous, or should I say, “egg-cellent” giveaway for you today! NestFresh Eggs is providing one lucky reader with a MONTH’s worth of their delicious eggs and a prize pack full of goodies. That’s 8 dozen eggs, a tumbler, water bottle, pan scraper, spatula, egg timer & jar opener. And, all of this just in time for Easter! Look for the Rafflecopter widget below to enter.

Did you ever see that old Valvoline commercial where the driver says “motor oil is motor oil”? You might also think that eggs are just eggs, right? Wrong. Today we are presented with a plethora of choices and many of us are choosing to pick foods that are not only good for us, but also raised humanely and easier on the environment.

I had traditionally purchased my eggs from a local farmer at the farmer’s market but I know many of us across the U.S. don’t have that option and are limited to what is on our grocery shelves. So, when I learned about NestFresh’s mission to provide a humane and sustainable alternative to conventional eggs, by insisting on producing cage-free and organic eggs to create awareness about the humane treatment of egg-laying hens and the importance of environmental responsibility, I was sold. NestFresh sources eggs regionally from small family farms whose hens are 100% cage free and 100% vegetarian fed with no antibiotics or growth hormones.

By connecting a network of small farms, NestFresh allows them to compete with large companies by making them available to you in your local grocery. You can buy with confidence knowing that your eggs are the freshest possible and you are supporting local business.

NestFresh has many different eggs to choose from, from Certified Organic to Omega 3 and Vitamin B fortified to Pasture Raised and Non-GMO Free Range Eggs. But how do they taste? Now, I can definitely tell a difference between farm fresh eggs and conventional eggs. Conventional eggs have rubbery whites, pale yolks and very little flavor. Over the past week, I used NestFresh eggs to make egg salad, mayonnaise and simple sunny-side up eggs. The whites were supple and the yolks were orange and silky when runny and soft and smooth when hard-boiled. I didn’t even add any salt to my sunny-side up eggs because they had enough flavor on their own.
