Fresh Berries with Mango Cream

Fresh Berries with Mango Cream

Like many bloggers, I have been super annoyed with Facebook lately. As you may have heard, they changed their algorithm transforming the system into a “pay to play” network. This means whenever you like a page you won’t necessarily see all of that page’s posts show up in your news feed. I don’t know about you, but if I like a page, that means I want to see more from that page! Paying for more viewers can be very pricey, costing thousands of dollars to reach your audience. Not only have they done this to all pages but you are now seeing less and less of your friends’ posts as well. Even interacting with them may not change much about it.

Mango & Avocado Egg Rolls

Mango & Avocado Egg Rolls

I just couldn’t peace out for the week without one more game day recipe! I’m a big fan of egg rolls and interesting ingredients in egg rolls. These are filled with a sweet and spicy mango avocado slaw. They are delightfully creamy and very tasty when dipped in sweet chili sauce. Also, because they are baked and not fried, you don’t have to stress about having a few extra.

Crabtastic Nachos

Crabtastic Nachos

Who doesn’t love a good plate of nachos? I fondly remember my college days where the epitome of a celebration was centered around a keg and piles and piles of nachos. I went to college in Indianapolis and every weekend we would find ourselves huddled around giant plates of chicken nachos from a little random bar/restaurant called Pacos. There was nothing particularly spectacular about the place other than it was our hang out; the place we would go to soak up the alcohol at 3am or have a mid-morning beer to help the hangover lingering from the night before. Ahhh, college. The days when our livers were strong…

Buffalo Chicken Salad Sliders

Buffalo Chicken Salad Sliders

It’s that time of year again when people prepare to chow down on hot wings, nachos and endless dips all in the name of football. There will be countless Super Bowl parties this coming Sunday but I couldn’t even tell you which teams are playing. I’m not a football fan. I’m not going to be a football fan. It’s not my thing so if you have a problem with that then get over it! However I will come to your party if I know you are going to have good food and some other non-football peeps for me to chat with. I’ll even bring something delicious in tow. If you are extra special I’ll bring more than one yummy and if you’re lucky I’ll even restrain myself from picking on the overly outward displays of masculinity.

Citrus and Avocado Salad

Citrus and Avocado Salad

It was one crazy holiday season for me and I still feel like I’m recovering. I created a whole month of Thanksgiving recipes, M and I went to Disney World (so much fun!), I was sick for a whole week in January with a bad cold and actually I was really sick for most of November and December too. M and I found out some exciting news that incidentally was also what caused me to be quite ill – I’m pregnant!

Here is the adorable announcement I created. I’m quite proud of it, actually:

Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake

The Holidays are over right? The decorations are packed away, the Christmas songs have stopped blaring in stores and there’s no more snow on the ground… well, maybe we still have to work on that last one. There is a storm front blowing across the U.S. right now and many of you are hunkered down in your homes avoiding the cold and snow.
